| An MIHP Movement Training Specialist (MTS) is a person who is certified by the members of the MIHP Think Tank to gather data and share valuable information regarding pain-free living. Armed with testing tools devised by the Michigan Institute for Human Performance (MIHP), the MTS is prepared to assess posture, trigger points, balance and functional strength. Based on those findings, the MTS is equipped to counsel individuals on exercise interventions and movement retraining activities that will allow clients to live pain-free lives. An MTS must have a background that includes in-depth knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. Individuals with backgrounds in physical therapy, massage therapy and/or personal training are prime candidates. In order to obtain an MTS certification, an individual must apply through MIHP for approval and then complete a series of requirements. Available Courses
